About KC Catering

KC Catering and Event Planning is a local bay area catering and event services company founded by natives of San Francisco who are also seasoned veterans of the catering and events industries. The whole team, from planners to servers to chefs, have years of experience in providing event services and working in the finest of restaurants, including the famed San Francisco House of Prime Rib on Van Ness. Just as our staff represents many different cultures, we plan events for all backgrounds and appreciate the cultural nuances that will make your experience special.

We started as a small catering company where we worked on weddings and events ranging up to 200 or 300 people, at our largest affairs. As years went by and events passed, we built a larger, stronger team where we now average parties of 300 to 400 people and see close to 1,000 guests at our largest gatherings. This would include events for organizations like the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and for companies like Washington Mutual.

KC Catering has received written accolades on several occasions which include the following:
  • On May 9, 2008, California Board of Equalization Vice Chairwoman Betty Yee presented a resolution to chef Ken Chow in recognition and appreciation of achievement in Asian Pacific Islander cuisine.
  • On March 28, 2007, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome presented a Certificate of Honor to recognize Ken Chow as an expert caterer.
